The Multilam Principle

MC Multilam bands are torsion or leaf spring contact elements with unmatched electrical and mechanical properties. The Multilam design produces a large number of louvers, and therefore allows contact to be made through a large number of defined contact points, which substantially reduces the overall contact resistance.

MC SEAL con TACT

Flat contact surfaces of overlapping bus bar connections do not ensure a reliable current transmission due to the fact that there are only a few defined contact points between the contact surfaces. Few contact points cause heat build-up, accelerated oxidation, increased contact resistance, and in the worst case contact failure. Our SEALconTACT was developed to address these issues. With a design based on our Multilam Principle, it guarantees an optimal current transmission with low, and stable contact resistance.
